  1. Good News from the Graveyard

    Reference: John 20:1-21

    · The empty tomb proves without doubt that Christ rose from the dead after suffering and dying for the sins of all the world. His resurrection in turn proves that He is the God of all creation, for only God can conquer death. A promise fulfilled.

    · Jesus’ resurrection affords us the opportunity to live fulfilled, purposeful abundant lives in Christ and as ones who are sent out after receiving the Holy Spirit we are to go on to become “witnesses” of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is not meant to be privately concealed, but publicly revealed.

    · Because of the Resurrection of Christ, we have a “blessed hope” that one day, we shall all receive glorified bodies like that of Christ Himself. “We know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2; “Then shall it be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55

Matt. 5:10 tells us “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven – Let us not be afraid of those who can destroy the body, but cannot touch our spirit. Knowing that death has lost its sting let us advance the kingdom of God.
