  1. Hello all!

    Reference text this week : Judges 2: 7 – 11

The generation of Joshua was a mighty generation that outdid their fathers in faith and excellence. They were the possessors of the promise. They stood in the midst of events and seen the mighty deeds. The results of which were ever present in their memories.

    1. The people served the Lord all the days of Joshua”, but after that generation died “there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord.” But how did this happen? There was a gap between the two generations, one served God, the other Baal – something seemed to be grievously missing.

    2. When we have a generation that God has given to us, we cannot afford to lose them. It is not enough that we just know about God or even to say they’re not our natural Children. Every Barnabas must have a Saul and every Saul/Paul a timothy.

    3. The call is to the “fathers” to invest in the next generation and to the young also to align themselves and establish a link with the older generation.

    4. We are the ones to raise up the present day Daniels , Elishas, Esthers, Marys, Pauls and Timothys. We are all builders, so then, what will you build with? Will it be silver and Gold, which in our day will be our time and resources or will it be with hay that will burn up – the insignificant?

    5. The Bible is filled with numerous examples of how God has used younger people in significant roles in the unfolding of his marvelous plan of redemption. Our young people are a wonderful resource in God’s kingdom and can accomplish magnificent things for His cause. We must constantly be on the lookout for them and encourage them along the way. Become intentional about impacting the next generation.

It is a glorious thing when young people purpose in their heart to serve and to worship God no matter what. If we want to bring revival and raise up a generation that will know the lord and go beyond us. We need to consider and take the time to get to know them, communicate the works of God openly and effectively and build positive, wholesome relationships.

    In Christ,
