Youth and Young Adults
Welcome to the Youth Ministry of Church on the Rock.
On fire for God, our Youth Pastor Chris Pignatiello is a dynamic young man, who leads the youth with passion and purpose.
Our aim in youth ministry is equip young people between the ages of 13-18 to be true disciples of Jesus Christ by creating an environment of worship, sound teaching from the word of God and enabling teens to be active participants of the church community.
The end-goal of our Youth ministry is to develop passionate lovers of Jesus who will go on to be a vital part of the church as well as the salt and light in their high schools and spheres of influence.
Some things we focus on are:
Young Adult Ministry:
Our aim in the Young Adult Ministry is to strengthen a community where the gospel is clearly communicated, giftings are nurtured and honored, and loving relationships are established. We meet weekly and have worship, bible study, sharing, prayer and service to each other. In the context of this group we also do personal evangelism and outreach.
Some things we focus on are Biblical manhood / womanhood, spiritual gifts and encouraging family shepherds.
Our aim is to raise up young people who will treasure Jesus Christ above all things and mobilize them to take the gospel to a lost and dying world.
The Mission that drives the Vision
We hope to accomplish this with many weekly, monthly, and yearly events:
Bible Studies held for one hour after the Sunday morning worship service in the 2nd floor chapel (1:00-2:00 pm). We often split into guys and girls groups and discuss hot topics, or meet as a group after a time of games to discuss a current adolescent issue and how we can use the Bible to help us deal with this issue.
Once every three months we help out with special projects focused on serving those around us. These include assistance at soup kitchens, community clean-ups, church family support, and more.
Meeting with an older young person weekly on a weekend evening for fellowship, Bible Study, prayer, and fun.

Twice a year in the fall and spring of each school year we travel up to The Scott Mission Camp for a weekend of good food, great challenges, crazy games, and insightful messages.
Meeting weekly on the weekends for a fun event. Can be a sports event, outside event (lazer quest, bowling, paint ball, go karts, etc.), games night, movie night, or more.
Every few years we experience an overseas venture to help stimulate a more evangelistic and service-centered approach to seeing our world. This year we are traveling to Kenya from May 9-May 23rd, 2009.
